Trust, Integrity and Ethics

Police integrity is crucial if the public are to trust the police to use their powers wisely and, above all, fairly.

To help build trust and public confidence, the Police and Crime Commissioners of Warwickshire and West Mercia have set up a Trust, Integrity and Ethics Committee to help to ensure that police officers and staff do the right thing, in the right way.

The first meeting of the committee took place in September 2014, with its final meeting in July 2018.

From January 2019, the functions of the TIE Committee was replaced by the expanded Joint Audit and Standards Committee.

A final summary report of the achievements of the TIE Committee was published in July 2018: TIE Achievements Report July 2018
