Effective partnership working is essential to achieving a safer, more secure Warwickshire. Many of the key areas of the Police and Crime Plan cannot be tackled effectively by one agency alone and it is part of the Commissioner’s role to ensure local priorities and services are joined up.
To achieve this, the Commissioner works with a wide range of organisations, including some which he has a formal responsibility to oversee, some which he directly funds and others which he works with on long and short-term projects. He also fosters less-formal relationships between county and national organisations which have a shared goal in improving community safety, helping victims of crime or working within the criminal justice system.
This section of the website outlines some of the Commissioner’s key working relationships with people and organisations. This includes local partnerships with Warwickshire County Council and Community Safety Partnerships through to regional and national collaboration.
