During National Hate Crime Awareness Week (October 2016) the Commissioner encouraged people to make the pledge to tackle hate crime. He took a pledge board to a number of his engagements, asking people to make the following pledge:
- I will not tolerate hate crime.
- If I see a hate crime I will report it.
- If I know someone has been a victim of hate crime, I will talk to them about reporting it.
Warwickshire Police also held a number of events around the county where you can show your support, including a meeting of Warwickshire Race Equality Partnership and the County-Wide Hate Crime Group.
