Warwickshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Philip Seccombe is giving the public the chance to say hello and share their views on policing, crime and community safety at a series of summer events around the county, starting with this weekend’s ‘Big Day Out’ at Coleshill.
The Commissioner will be on hand at the events, joining police or Neighbourhood Watch stands to take questions from the public, explain the work being done to make a safer, more secure Warwickshire and hear people’s views on a range of subjects.
The first event is the Coleshill Big Day Out on Sunday 10 June at Coleshill Memorial Park on Parkfield Road. Between 11am and 3pm he will be available to talk to at the North Warwickshire Neighbourhood Watch stand.
Then on Sunday 12 August he will be joining Warwickshire Rural Watch at the Fillongley Show at The Showground, Church Lane, Corley, between 10am and 4pm.
The following weekend he will be at Warwickshire Pride, joining Warwickshire Police at the event in the Pump Room Gardens in Leamington Spa from 11am to 3pm on Saturday 18 August.
Dates for other community events in Rugby, Nuneaton & Bedworth and Stratford Districts are still being finalised and will be publicised in due course.
Warwickshire Police and Crime Commissioner Philip Seccombe said: “I’m really keen to get out and about and meet as many people as I can to hear their views on policing, crime and community safety and get feedback on how the police and other agencies are faring at tackling the issues that matter to people most.
“These summer events offer the chance to speak to a wide range of people in a relaxed and informal environment, so I’m looking forward to seeing as many people as possible. If you are out at one of the events, do stop by and say hello.”
In addition to the summer events, the Commissioner is continuing to attend local Community Forum meetings across the county, to present on his work as Commissioner and take questions from the public. The next Community Forums he will be attending are:
