Q1 – How much is the review costing and who is paying for it?
A – The review remains ongoing, there is no total cost at present. The cost will come from the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioners budget.
Q2. What was the procurement process for the review? Was the role advertised publicly?
A – The OPCC contacted the College of Policing and suitably qualified professionals to conduct this review. The process considered the appropriate skills and distance from the issues in hand. The appointment was subject to robust referral, references, and Police vetting.
Q3. How many reviewers were shortlisted before the appointed reviewer was selected? What were their names?
A – Three individuals were considered. Disclosing personal names via third party requests is exempt under Section 40 (2) with section 40 (3A) of FOIA and contravenes the data protection principles listed Article 5(1) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
