Q: I would like copies of any email correspondence mentioning Section 114 of the Local Government Finance Act 1988. I am particularly interested in emails to and from the Commissioner, Chief Executive and Chief Finance Officer.
A: In relation to the above request I can inform you that there has been no exchanges of emails to, from or between the Commissioner, Chief Executive or Treasurer referencing Section 114 of the Local Government Finance Act 1988 in specific relation to Warwickshire OPCC. We have not contemplated or had the need to issue such a notice since the office of PCC came into being.
We may however have received general information/correspondence from time to time, for example, on national circulars or from CIPFA or other professional groups. They may have referenced Section 114 notices being issued at other bodies for example Croydon and Northamptonshire councils, or indeed general professional advice, articles and information on Section 114 notices, but none of these relate to specific issues, activities or concerns at Warwickshire OPCC.
